Land Acknowledgement
The Mental Health Collective is located on Treaty 1 territory — the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuliné and Nehethowuk Nations, and the Homeland of the Red River Metis. Our water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation in Treaty 3 territory. We recognize that land acknowledgments must be followed by action and are committed to reconciliation and decolonization efforts. We aim to provide culturally sensitive care, partake in ongoing education, and to advocate for access to mental health services.Â
